58 year old Arshad Mehmood runs a small grocery shop in the peripheries of Rawalpindi. Being a father of 3 children, he is the only one who earns a living. One of Arshad’s son recently graduated from college and searching for a job. His small shop with empty racks is the only hope of the family. Arshad hopes to provide a good future for the family and wants to fulfill their dreams. His business was drastically affected by COVID and the prevailing inflation in the country. He lacks the essential commodities to attract customers to his shop. Arshad has applied for a loan of $350 to restock his shop with grocery items like spices, rice and pulses to earn a better living.
